Description

The LaserWriter Pro 810 had multiple paper cassettes, a first in Apple printing.  It used a slower processor than other printers in the LaserWriter line.  The Weitek 8200 processor ran at 7.25Mhz.  In spite of the lower speed, it could still produce up to 20 pages a minute at a resolution of 800 DPI. 

Communication options included LocalTalk, Serial and Ethernet.  The Pro 810 used the PostScript Level 2 or PCL 4+.

History

The LaserWriter Pro 810 was the highest end printer of its time.  With multiple paper cassettes and unprecedented speed, it was geared towards professional users with high volume needs.
